Day 01:
Arrival to the Turkish / Syrian border.
Meet and assist by your guide at the border.
Transfer to the hotel in
Aleppo
Check in and overnight.
Day 02:
Breakfast.
Full day sightseeing of Aleppo to include the
archaeological
museum, Aleppo
citadel, the grand mosque, visit the green plain of Aleppo where
hundreds of Dead Cities are silently narrating the history of a
prosperous Byzantine past. visit the Al- qatura ruins and to the 5th
century, cathedral of St. Simeon the stylite who spent 42 years of
outdoors prayers and meditation on a top of a pillar.
Visit Aramaic site of Ain Dara, a huge bas-reliefs of mythological
animals still guarding the temple of goddess Ishtar
Continue the sightseeing by visiting the bazaars and the
caravanserais of Aleppo.
Overnight.
Day 03:
Breakfast.
Drive east to visit the
Ruins of Rasafa
which was built out of a rose-colored marble encrusted with gypsum.
Afterward, visit the Abbasid site of Al-Raqqa, which stands on the
left bank of Euphrates River, whose primitive foundation was on the
hands of Alexander the great. Continue the visit down stream the
Euphrates to Halabia and Zalabia, two sites flourished during the
region of Queen Zanobia.
Back to your hotel and overnight.
Day 04:
Breakfast.
Drive to visit the ancient site of
Apamea, which is one of the four
cities founded by Selecus Nicator in the 3rd century B.C. Visit the
Cardo Maximus, The Roman residences, the theatre, the Mosaic museum
and the Crusader / Arab. Hama is no doubting the highlight of today
because of the rustic beauty of its Waterwheels whose timelessness
captures the imagination.
Optional lunch in Hama.
Driver to Palmyra.
Check in and overnight .
Day 05:
Breakfast
Drive south to Malula to visit Crac Des Chevaliers, the most wholly
admirable castle in the world." as per Lawrence of Arabia commented.
Optional lunch.
Visit the castle.
Overnight.
Day 06:
Breakfast
Half day tour in an exceptional example of the timelessness and
universality of a great city of Damascus by visiting the national
museum, the folklore museum, the Omayyad mosque, (Azem palace), the
street called Straight, St. Paul’s window and St. Ananias chapel,
the tomb of Saladin.
Optional lunch.
Free time to do shopping at Hamidieh Bazaars.
P.M. Drive over to Qasioun Mountain for a panoramic view to Damascus.
Day 07:
Visit Bosra.
Optional lunch.
Visit the mosque of Sayedah Zeinab on the way back.
Back to Damascus.
Overnight.
Day 08:
Breakfast.
Transfer to airport for the final departure.
Or transfer to Syrian / Turkish border for final departure.
